Most protein production systems were not designed for high-throughput or scale. They make proteins inside the cell, where they often form insoluble inclusion bodies or get contaminated when the cell is broken open during recovery.

High Purity from the Start
Opera was founded on the idea that making or sourcing a protein should not stretch your budget or slow your research down. We know that making a protein is hard, and purifying it is even harder. So, we took the easiest and fastest way to make proteins (in E. coli) and made it even simpler.
Our bacteria can secrete proteins out of the cell in a single step to give you a soluble, active protein with starting purities up to 90%.
